Amy Simmons

Senior Recovery Support Worker

Amy Simmons brings a unique blend of experiences and skills to our team as a Senior Recovery Support Worker. Her diverse background spans from interpreting car parts and selling groceries to fitting supportive bras, showcasing her adaptability and versatility. Since 2020, Amy has been dedicated to the community service industry, working as both a Service Coordinator and Support Worker.

Amy recently completed her Certificate IV in Community Services and holds current certifications in Mental Health First Aid and Suicide Conversations Training. Amy’s ability to adapt and build rapport with participants is a testament to her commitment to meeting their individual needs and supporting them on their recovery journey.

As a dedicated mum, Amy treasures spending quality time with her family and friends. She loves entertaining, baking delicious treats, and engaging in community sport, like soccer on the weekends! Her favorite pastimes also include singing (albeit terribly, according to her) while cleaning and driving, which adds a touch of fun to her routine.

Amy believes in the mantra, “Be your own kind of beautiful,” which reflects her passion for learning about people’s journeys and helping them achieve their goals and aspirations. She thrives in a supportive and welcoming team environment and enjoys contributing to a collaborative and positive workplace.

In her spare time, Amy is known for her spontaneous midnight baking sessions, finding joy and productivity even when she can’t sleep. Her warmth, dedication, and diverse skill set make her an invaluable asset to our Holistic Recovery team.
